OSHA investigating accident at carwash construction site

MERIDAN, CT — The state Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating a construction accident that occurred at the site of the new Class Act Car Wash.

A construction worker was injured when a retaining wall collapsed pinning him against a dump truck.

"On arrival emergency crews found one male construction worker pinned against a dump truck by a retaining wall that had collapsed,"Meridan Police Lt. Sal Nesci said in the Patch.com story. "The male worker was extricated and taken to Mid-state Medical Center and later flown to Hartford Hospital by Lifestar Medical Helicopter."

OSHA has yet to release a report.
