Carwash and convenience store proposed in township

WEST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, PA — A gas station, carwash and convenience store has been proposed to be constructed in the footprint of a carwash leveled by an explosion.

According to the Lancasteronline.com story the 2011 explosion was caused by a propane leak from a car accident that ignited.

Carwash rebuilds after tornado

Mani Sharma has sent the proposal to the West Lampeter Township Zoning Board. The site requires a variance because it is located on a flood plain. It will go to vote Aug. 13.

If his proposal is approved, Sharma will send a land development plan to the West Lampeter Township Planning Commission.
