Carwash ordered to close, sues landlord

August 22, 2013
BEDFORD HILLS, NY — Splash Car Wash has been ordered by a Bedford Town Justice to vacate the site they occupy following a dispute by carwash owners and the property’s landlord.

The ruling comes after the landlord decided not to renew the property’s lease and Splash owners failed to vacate the premises by April 30.

Landlord Bob Shullman told Patch.com that Splash owners were told “years ago” that their lease would not be renewed.

Carwash reopens ... then closes again

Splash owners have filed a separate suit in the State Supreme Court in White Plains alleging that Shullman family members “engaged in tortious interference with business relations.”

Splash must vacate the property by Sept. 30 but plan on opening a new Splash Car Wash at another Bedford Hills site.
