Planning Commission still unsure about proposal

October 3, 2013
PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton Planning Commission appeared “lukewarm,” according to a Pleasantonweekly.com report, concerning a proposal to build a 24-hour 7-Eleven and carwash in the town.

Objections heard at the meeting included concerns over increased traffic, pedestrian safety, noise and potential crime. The most opposition came from the plans to sell alcohol at the location.

"I don't feel that this is the right fit in the neighborhood," Nancy Allen, Planning Commission commissioner said in the article.

The site is already a Valero gas station, which has been operated by Michael Roseberry for 49 years.

The commission has yet to vote on the proposal.
