British Car Auctions publishes carwash survey

October 18, 2013
FARNHAM, SURREY, ENGLAND — ThisisHullandEastReading.co.uk reports that the British Car Auctions have released a report which found that one-third of drivers would rather pay for a hand carwash than do it themselves.

The report says that 18 percent of respondents clean their car once a week, 31 percent use a hand car wash while 6 percent use an automated car wash.

"It is great to see that so many motorists are investing in getting their car cleaned regularly,” BCA President Tim Naylor said in the story. “Anything that can be done to ensure a vehicle stays in good condition is going to help with getting a good resale value when they're ready to change."

The report also found that 4 percent clean their car only once a year.
