Former factory worker buys detailing business

KITCHENER, ONTARIO, CANADA — A former factory worker has bought a detailing shop following the closure of the plant where he worked.

Terry Van Damme used the cash portion of his pension to buy EZ Car Care, Mississauga.com reports.

According to the story, Van Damme had been a customer of the business and when he found out it was up for sale he promptly jumped at the chance.

"It's mine. Nobody can tell me what to do,” he said in the story.

He says that so far he has enough business to pay the bills but has not yet made enough o pay himself a salary. He hopes to soon be in a position to hire employees.
