Education day at auto show

January 25, 2014

DETROIT — Education day, which was Wednesday, at the North American International Auto Show, can be where students interested in the automotive industry can decide what they want to do when they grow up, according to The Daily Tribune.

Tim Finkel is a high school teacher; his classes include physics, mechanics and auto detailing. NAIAS is a chance for him to interest kids in the field of automotives.

“It shows them that there are jobs for them in the future,” said Finkel. Talking to the students about what it’s like in the real world is something Finkel enjoys, and is an emphasis at the show.

Finkel’s students were given the chance to look at the interior of the Ferraris’ York, which was particularly impressive to them.
