It’s hard to believe that Professional Car Care Online™ (PCC Online), originally called Professional Carwashing & Detailing Online, has been up and running for 10 years.
We’ve been through a multitude of changes in these past years and have adapted to modifications in technology, trends, consumer preferences, and carwash news.
Take a moment to stroll down memory lane with us and look back over the past 10 years to see just how far we’ve come.
1995
10/1/1995 – Professional Carwashing & Detailing® launched its website Professional Carwashing & Detailing Online (www.carwash.com).
1999
1/1/1999 – PCC Online launched its bi-weekly e-News mailing service.
2000
5/30/2000 – Professional Carwashing e-News online registration requirement was eliminated.
6/20/2000 – Professional Carwashing & Detailing Online redesigned and re-launched its website after more than six months of development.
2001
5/15/2001 – Professional Carwashing e-News announced the beginning of a weekend electronic publication and product showcase, designed to provide technical articles and allow manufacturers to inexpensively bring products to market.
9/25/2001 – Professional Carwashing & Detailing Online and PC&D joined the national effort to help those devastated by the September 11 terrorist attacks on America by creating “Aiding the Effort” — an international campaign that raised funds for the victims of the terrorist attacks.
2002
1/15/2002 – Professional Carwashing & Detailing Online began offering high-response “pop-up” banner ads designed to attract viewer attention.
2/26/2002 – Professional Carwashing & Detailing Online topped more than 400,000 pages viewed in January of that year.
2003
4/24/2003 – Professional Carwashing & Detailing Online was re-branded as Professional Car Care Online™ (PCC Online), and Professional Carwashing e-News was re-branded as Professional Car Care e-News™.
12/16/2003 – California e-News subscribers were allowed to keep receiving the e-News thanks to a federal anti-spam law signed by President Bush.
2004
4/22/2004 – The New York State Car Wash Association (NYSCWA) made PCC Online’s headlines available on its website.
7/15/2004 – Total user visits for PCC Online reached over 500,000.
7/27/2004 – PCC Online and PC&D formed an advertising partnership with Google, Inc. to provide targeted product announcements to website visitors.
10/19/2004 – The Mid Atlantic Carwash Association (MCA) made the Professional Car Care e-News™ headlines available on its website.
12/2/2004 – PCC Online website traffic logged a total of 953,123 user visits compared to the previous 735,984 visits in late 2003.
2005
2/1/2005 – National Trade Publications, Inc., publisher of PC&D and PCC Online changed its name to NTP Media.
9/22/2005 – PCC Online announced the winner of its 10th anniversary celebration contest.
11/1/2005 – PCC Online’s 10th anniversary!
“Aiding the Effort” was promoted on Professional Carwashing e-News.
1/3/2002 – PC&D launched the Internet edition of its print directory, Professional Carwashing & Detailing 2002 Online Buyers Guide & Directory of Industry Suppliers.
1/4/2005 – Traffic on PCC Online hit the 1 million mark.
