Detail shop makes full microfiber switch
KANSAS CITY, MO — A detail shop here announced the switch to exclusively using microfiber towels, according to SBWire.
The Jan. 24 release stated that Overland Park auto detailing decided to use only microfiber towels for all washing and cleaning needs for a number of reasons.
After rigorous field testing, the business was convinced that microfiber provided the safest and highest quality performance among all detailing cloths. Also, the microfiber cloths absorbed oil and dirt better, the story noted.
Overland was able to save money because fewer chemicals were used cleaning cars and drying time was slashed nearly in half, according to the story.
“Some auto detailing companies only use microfiber on the car’s exterior to avoid paint scratches,” Owner Tim Dodd said in the story, “but we use it on every surface. It’s more expensive on the front end, but it’s worth it for more reasons than one. … That’s why we switched to microfiber for every surface: All paint, all interior surfaces, windows and even rims. We always aim to provide the most gentle, but rigorous, auto detail possible.”
