Greg Byler and Ron Barks have officially opened their second express exterior, In & Out Car Wash.
The 120-foot, fully automated tunnel carwash cost $750,000 and is capable of washing about 150 cars per hour. Prices range from $3 to $12, and each wash includes air-drying and use of self-serve vacuums.
The location is the second in a plan that includes several express exterior carwashes in southwest Missouri.
Michael Krabbe is taking his experience as a former country club general manager to the car care industry with the opening of Details Carwash.
The upscale carwash includes all the latest state-of-the-art washing equipment, along with computers with free Internet access for customers. The carwash uses the flex-serve format, with packages ranging from $6 to $19.95.
The carwash also offers mobile detailing services, taking its services to country clubs, offices or homes to make detailing more convenient. All the detailing equipment, water and electricity is brought to the customer in a trailer and the carwash and mobile units are environmentally friendly, utilizing a water reclaim system.

The new Harv’s Car Wash here, part of a Northern California network of “green certified” carwashes, celebrated its grand opening and green certification with a ribbon cutting ceremony and free exterior carwashes. In addition to the ceremony, 25 percent of all proceeds from the day were donated to charity.
Environmentally friendly practices at the carwashes include: reclaimed water, high-pressure nozzles, recyclable products and supplies, recycling services at their locations, and energy-efficient fluorescent lighting.
In October, Harv’s Car Wash owner Aaron Zeff won the “Rookie of the Year” award from the Western Carwash Association.
Newly opened Scottsdale Auto Salon caters to exotic luxury car owners with an array of car-care services, including hand washing and a VIP lounge.
The salon, encompassing 8,100 square feet on 5.5. acres, also includes a convenience store with cigar humidor and a gasoline station with 100-octane racing fuel for high-performance cars.
Joseph Curry, along with his brother Mark and father Arnold, developed the carwash to appeal to lower-end cars, too. There will be a $6 express exterior wash that can accommodate stretch limousines, as well as Honda Civics.
Over 20 years ago, Rose and Douglas Holly purchased his parent’s family-run hotel and decided to wait until the time was right to develop the property into a carwash.
The time finally felt good this year, when the DeBary Hotel was developed into the DeBary Car Wash.
The newly opened carwash is the first in town. It features four self-service bays offering options such as debugging, tire cleaning and waxing. A two-minute basic wash costs $1.75, while an automatic drive-through offers packages ranging from $5-8.
After 32 years in the fast lube industry, Jerry Lambuth decided his car care business needed a change, so he revamped the location and added a carwash.
Jerry, along with his co-owner and son, Shane, opened the new Lambuth’s Quick Lube and Car Wash at the same location that his fast lube stood since 1993.
The feature Lambuth is most proud of is the new carwash, capable of cleaning 130 cars in a single hour. Some of the advances in the carwash include scrubbers made with a foam polymer instead of wire bristles.
Carwashes come with three choices: the $5 basic wash, the $8 super wash and the $10 ultimate express wash. The carwash also offers free vacuums whenever the carwash is open.
