Man gets 10 years for detonating bomb inside wash
KISSIMMEE, FL — A man who was suspected of detonating a pipe bomb inside of a bay at a gas station/carwash here faces up to 10 years in prison, the Sun Sentinel reported.
The March 2 story said Michael Allen Nelson, 20, pleaded guilty and admitted to being fascinated by fireworks and explosions.
Nelson, who detonated the carwash bomb on Feb. 1, 2011, has also apparently detonated two other pipe bombs.
No one was injured in the explosion, which caused steel and shrapnel to spray throughout the carwash bay.
