Mister Car Wash Names John Lai President and Chief Operating Officer

Tucson, Arizona. March 16, 2012: Mister Car Wash announced that John Lai will become the President and Chief Operating Officer responsible for helping Mister Car Wash scale its operations and expand its national presence. In his role, Lai will be providing strategic leadership and vision while continuing to manage Operations, Marketing, Business Development, and Facility Maintenance. He will report directly to Mister Car Wash’s CEO, Ron Peterson.

Peterson stated on behalf of the leadership team and the Mister Car Wash Board of Directors, that “we are extremely pleased to welcome John into his new role”. He also commented that “John has been instrumental in helping us develop and grow our field management team which we consider the backbone of our organization.”

Lai joined Mister Carwash in 2002 as Vice President of Market Development. Prior to that, Lai was Vice President of Sales for FinanCenter Inc. a software company. Prior to that, he was the President of Blue Coral Systems Inc, a specialty chemical company. Mr. Lai began his career with Nestle S.A., a global food company, where he held a variety of Sales Management positions.

Lai received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona. He has served on the Board of Directors for the International Carwash Association (ICA) and the Western Carwash Association (WCA). He also serves on the Board of Directors for the University of Arizona’s Lacrosse team. He lives in Tucson with his wife, Kristi, and four children.
