Jiffy Lube International announced that its 26th annual International Franchisee Convention honored outstanding franchisee achievements across the company's network of more than 2,200 service centers in North America.

Individuals were recognized for their innovations and leadership with nearly 200 separate awards presented in categories such as customer satisfaction, car count increases, sales counts, facilities, operations, and total vehicles serviced.

The International Carwash Association (ICA) held an open informational conference call, which gave owners and operators a chance to learn more about the association's Car Love campaign.

The seminar focused on the three messages the ICA's Car Love campaign promotes: car owners' emotional attachment to their cars, the environmentally friendly aspects of professional carwashes, and the increased trade-in value of a vehicle when owners maintain the vehicle's exterior appearance through the use of a professional carwash.

Polynet Global Wash Systems, a carwash equipment distributor and developer, worked with a local carwash to create Wash to Cure Diabetes, which raised over $620 of the overall fund-raising goal of $8,000. Polynet will participate in future fundraising activities in the near future to attempt to meet that goal.

GinSan Industries, Inc., an international manufacturer of self-service carwash systems and related electronics, announced that Nanco Services, Inc., Swansboro, NC, is its newest distributor.

Founded in 1995, Nanco Services will utilize its fleet of service trucks, inventory of parts and chemicals, and 24-hour service line for GinSan distribution.


Dosatron International, Clearwater, FL, a maker of water-driven chemical proportioners for carwashing, an-nounced that it has appointed John Telesz as its northeast regional sales manager.

Telesz will be the sales manager for territories in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, western New York and Pennsylvania.

North American Lubricants (NAL) Company announced that Chuck O'Donnell has been named the company's new president. O'Donnell replaces Garry Rooney who resigned in February to pursue other interests.

O'Donnell's previous career in the oil supply and oil change industries include positions with Rowley Wholesale, Pennzoil-Quaker State, Gulf Coast Financial Services/All American Super Lube, Jiffy Lube Association of Franchisees, Major Brands Oil Co., and Kelly Distributing Co.

Carwash OEM N/S Wash Systems announced the appointment of Keith Caggiano as its marketing manager for the N/S Automatic Division.

Caggiano started as the company's advertising manager in 1997, and has since been involved with sales and handling most of the company's marketing efforts including developing the new N/S Autohandwash Modules.

Carwash manufacturer Mark VII Equipment LLC has promoted Craig Campbell to vice president of sales and marketing and Sandy Bass to the position of general manager of the Rocky Mountain Region.

Campbell has over 10 years experience in the carwash industry and has been in domestic and export sales, product management and marketing with Mark VII since 1995.

As General Manager Bass will lead Mark VII's Colorado and Wyoming-based carwash distributorship,

Splash Car Washes, Stamford, CT, announced that Jose Luis Cruz, manager of its Darien location, has won its annual Best of Splash Contest.

Cruz wins an all-expense paid trip to Australia, and his Assistant Manager, German Llivizaca wins an all-expense paid trip anywhere within the United States.

The contest, which was between all of Splash's site managers was based on criteria including: customer satisfaction, dollars per car, performance versus budget, even case study responses.
