Pair tries to saw their way into carwash
YUBA, CA — Two men were arrested after they tried to break into a carwash by sawing their way through the carwash’s roof, the Appeal Democrat reported.
The March 14 story said Justin J. Williams and William Beights were spotted on the roof by a passerby who then called the police around 2 a.m.
Deputies responded to the call and found both men along with alleged burglary tools on the property. They apparently admitted they were going to attempt to steal quarters.
Both men were sent to jail and a bail for each was set at $25,000.
Owner B.J. Singh said in the story, “We have about two or three [incidents] a year. They usually don’t get much money from the coin machines, but they make a lot of damage, that’s the problem.”
