Warm, dry weather helps renovated wash succeed
GRASS VALLEY, CA — The dry and unseasonably warm weather here has helped the owners of a newly renovated carwash see a high volume of winter customers, TheUnion.com reported.
The Jan. 9 story stated that owners Mike Argento and Steve Nelson purchased the former 10-Minute Oil Change when it went into foreclosure last year.
The remodeled Country Express Lube & Car Wash opened in mid-July, and it features a spacious waiting room, a detailing bay, three oil and lube service bays, four new vacuums and five self-service bays, the story noted.
Nelson spent more than 38 years looking at the business’s property from his upstairs office next door, according to the story. As the property deteriorated and customer flow decreased, he knew it was time to act.
Argento was the logical partner for the carwash and lube business because he has owned a lube center with a carwash and market since 1996, the story noted.
