Professional Carwashing & Detailing

What's in your wash?

October 11, 2010
Welcome to Majestic Carwash, where Ocean and Joy Pierce aim to set their carwash apart from the rest and become known for upscale carwashing and detailing. The Pierces hope to garner heavy consumer interest at their prototype carwash, a $2.4 million full-service, which would allow them to eventually expand the car care business.

The couple has been working since May on building their dream carwash, which opens next month.

Process, prices and equipment
The Pierces decided from the outset of the design process to pursuit the following philosophy:
  1. Install equipment that will safely clean and dry a car;
  2. Keep the site clean and attractive;
  3. Hire respectful and courteous associates;
  4. Ensure happy customers by implementing superior customer service; and
  5. Make the carwash an asset to the community.
Majestic Carwash sits on one acre and will offer a full-service and express wash, along with a full detail center. Wash packages will range from $7.95 to $25. Detailing packages will range from $39 to $300.

The wash features equipment by Howco, the distributorship started by Autobell Car Wash founder Charles Howard Sr. Majestik’s conveyor is 100’, and the tunnel is 80’. Howco Equipment Sales Associate Robby Jones provided consultation services to the Pierce’s.

The carwash will have two detailing bays, each 17’x24’. The detailing garage will have an 8’ tall Storefront Glass allowing customers to watch services being performed.

Technology attracts
Technology will be the main attraction at this carwash. Camera systems, supplied by DRB Systems, and viewing stations will allow customers to watch their vehicle as it is cleaned and/or detailed. Soon, the cameras will be upgraded so that customers can watch their car being detailed online and from the comfort of their own home.

Scheduling a carwash or detail will also be available via the carwash website. Ocean Pierce said he understands that in this day and age, customers work a lot and have busy lives. He wants to make it as easy as possible for them to use his carwash with no hassle.

“Designing and building a carwash is a lot of hard work, but well worth it in the end,” Pierce said. “It is so enjoyable to see a dream become a reality from inception to completion.”
