Family wins site plan approval for "much debated" carwash
The Jan. 20 story said the vote was 5-1 in favor of the carwash plan.
According to the report, the family will start construction soon with plans to have the new carwash business open by June.
The Daniele family has faced an uphill battle in getting the carwash approved. In August of last year, Professional Carwashing & Detailing reported that the family had to apologize after they were accused of making bribes to help garner support for the carwash.
Quiet corner will bustle with new carwash
FARGO, ND — The addition of Don's Car Wash has given a once barren corner a burst of developmental activity and the general manager said a gas station and c-store will also be included, an InForum story said.
The Nov. 2 story said the carwash is slated to open next February.
Only a few years ago, the corner had little activity and now it is expected to see a surge of commercial and residential traffic.
Don's, which has other carwash locations in Fargo and Moorhead, ND, is the first business going up and carwash General Manager Dan Durr said it was an opportune time to build. "There isn't anything out there," he said in the story. "Right now, if somebody wants to get gas, the closest spot is Stop-n-Go on 36th Avenue," which is a mile and half away.
New carwash to replace abandoned Sunoco
BRANDYWINE HUNDRED, DE — A new carwash and gas station will go up here in place of an abandoned Sunoco, a Community News story said.
Owner John Recchiuit said there is an “unmet” demand for high-end carwashes in the area.
The diesel fuel and diesel fuel tank will have to be removed and four new gas pumps will go up at the gas station.
Neighbors were receptive to the idea of the wash, although questions were raised about noise and lighting issues. However, Recchuiuti said the carwash motors are quiet and buffers will be installed and said light will not escape from the property.
The express carwash will also be eco-friendly and will reuse 80 percent of its water. Fourteen self-serve vacuums will also be available.
