ROMEOVILLE, IL — A wash owner is asking for a special permit to overhaul his wash location here, romeoville.patch.com reported.

The Feb. 1 story said trustees are set to vote whether the owner of Laserwash can add a free vacuuming station, a new $3 wash lane and a monument sign.

Under Owner Bill Klump’s proposal, modern equipment would be installed in one of the wash lanes to create the $3 carwash, the story noted.

The new monument sign would replace a pole sign, and it would include an LED message board, according to the story.

Klump said in village documents that the new sign is needed due to the speed of traffic in the area and the angle at which vehicles pass the wash.
