LINCOLN, NE ― At-home carwashing has been banned here on certain days and police said they are now ticketing those who don't honor the latest round of water restrictions, which were issued on Aug. 9, cbs 5 reported.
The Aug. 19 story said police will no longer issue warnings.
Police have so far reported 475 violations since the water flow in the Platte River dropped to a "historic low," the story said.
The restrictions also limit lawn watering on certain days. Fines being handed out total $500 or violators face six months in jail.
