NEW YORK — The Specialty Food Association has chosen finalists for the 2015 Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation [sofi) Award, according to CSPnet.com.
The 43rd winner will be chosen from the group of 125 finalists, to be announced June 29 at the Summer Fancy Food show, noted the article. Ted Allen, host of Food Network’s “Chopped,” will reveal the winners.
"A sofi means a product, and the people behind it, have arrived," said Ann Daw, president of the Specialty Food Association (SFA), in the article. “This year's finalists represent a devotion to excellence and innovation in specialty food that continues to fuel our industry."

The contest is open to SFA members, stated the article. Judges include representatives from 36 companies such as Whole Foods Market, Bristol Farms, Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurants, Kroger, Williams-Sonoma, Fresh Direct, The Fresh Market and more.
Finalists include Sir Kensington’s, Wackym’s Kitchen, Blue Hill Yogurt, Tea Forté Inc., Bittermilk LLC and others, reported the article.
