KILWINNING, Scotland — Police are looking into a fire at a local carwash, according to the Daily Record.
Six firefighters brought the blaze under control, noted the article, but flames left the building severely damaged.
No injuries were reported, shared the article. Officers are investigating the incident after becoming suspicious the fire was set on purpose.
“The layout of the building posed a challenge for the teams but they made steady progress and successfully extinguished the main seat of fire before continuing dampening-down operations,” reported firefighter Colin McGhee, in the article.
He added, “A thermal imaging camera was used as crews searched for any signs of hidden fire spread.”
