It might sound harsh, as I live in a football-loving household in which our basement looks like a Giants stadium lockeroom, but, to be honest, I couldn't care less that football season is almost over. I know I only get a few months to live football free, and have my television back, until the training camps, the draft and the preseason games start, so I'm going to savor those months as much as possible. It's not that I hate the sport, in fact, I like watching the games, but the sport is everywhere. Maybe it's because our beloved Giants won last year (Go Eli!), but everywhere I turn, I see a Giants jersey, a bumper sticker, or a television on with some sort of commentator commenting on the next game.
When the Super Bowl airs this Sunday, I will be interested in seeing the ad featuring model Kate Upton washing her car in a parking lot. The ad, which can be seen here on YouTube, will hopefully in no way encourage viewers to do the same.
I will be at the Elk's Club watching the game with a group of friends and family. Maybe, after the commercial ends I will go around the room and ask people what they thought of the ad? I'm sure all of the avid football fans will love me coming up to them and interrupting their football viewing.
