Blog: Oh no! Not the Harlem Shake!

During my daily searches for carwash news last week, the unfortunate video below popped up frequently.

Being fully in the dark about the new Harlem Shake dance craze, I watched the video in a state of blank confusion. What did it mean? What was its purpose? Why did the driver wear his hat like that? Is that his mom's minivan? Did they select a pre-rinse or multi-color foam?

Once I discovered that the Harlem Shake was the newest YouTube dance trend, the video made a little more sense, and it piqued my curiosity. How many dance craze videos were filmed in carwashes?

Who can forget Gangnam Style? Of all the people in these carwash dance videos, I identify with the little boy in the video above the most. "Okay, I'll play along for a minute, but after that it's nap time."

We're dipping back a few years here, but the Macarena carwash video is the most complete and it features the best performance. A little girl and her mom show us how the international superhit should be sung and performed. When it comes to carwash dancing videos, they don't get much more enjoyable than this.

As for my final video find, well, I'm not sure what to say.

Thanks for reading, happy dancing/carwashing!
