OMG! What a slacker I am!
I have been writing about the coming of an imminent “marketing revolution” for five years now.
I knew, of course, this would not be an overnight development. Many important and valuable events and mileposts need time to ferment.
Thomas Edison, for example, attempted and completed more than 5,000 experiments before he created, at last, a working light bulb.
So my time expectations were not unreasonable.
I was, however, becoming a bit uncertain and anxious.
After five lean and sometimes painful years in the industry, I wondered, “when will operators and their suppliers work together, and become more profitable?”
Last week, however, while attending a shortened, two-day The CarWash College workshop near Atlanta, my fears were greatly put to rest.
Indeed, I surely witnessed the beginning of this much-needed revolution.
Zeev Josman and Bryan Nixon are two proven and reputable industry veterans, and together, they were dynamic, convincing speakers on the stage.
In truth, they were “carwash revolutionaries.”
They both spoke clearly and passionately of a much better future for operators.
Their audience of some 200 managers and operators were attentive, and inspired.
And why shouldn’t they be? Josman, a co-owner of Car Wash Services of the Southeast, and Nixon, his sales manager, were talking specifically about proven on-site ways to increase wash counts and revenues!
Yes, the “marketing revolution” has begun already.
When suppliers and operators unite and work together, each will achieve higher revenues and will exceed their companies’ separate and individual goals!
Long live this liberating revolution!
