The corn is turning brown here in the Midwest, which means one thing and one thing only — fall is nearly upon us. Apple cider, doughnuts, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and cool evening hikes are the perfect ingredients for fall fun.

Fall is a fun time for pets too. It is finally cool enough for long walks and jumping in leaf piles — a perfect recipe for dirty paws. Can dirty paws be fun though? I got to thinking about the dirty truth about cleaning a pet. Many original pet wash gurus would attest that pet washes have come a long way to enhance the overall experience for both the patron and the operator. First generation pet washes tended to make use of materials and equipment that both attracted odors and were a pain to clean. Wood, dark, and musty spaces became synonymous with public pet wash stations.

Thankfully today, pet washes are now designed with both owners and patrons in mind. From a tub design that forces water, hair, and dander into a strainer that is easily disposed of to a tub cleaner option in the spray control, dirtiness is quite simply a small matter. With improvements like these, the dirty truth about pet wash cleanliness is that perhaps it is not so dirty after all. This is good news. Less clean-up this season means more time for fall fun.

Now who is up for apple bobbing?
