CHICAGO — The Boyd Group Inc. announced the acquisition and opening of a collision repair center in Plainwell, Michigan, according to a press release.
The repair center previously operated under the name McDonald’s Auto Body and has around 12,500 square feet of production space, stated the release.
“With three locations in Grand Rapids and two in Kalamazoo, this new center in Plainwell fills a gap between the two areas and adds to our brand presence in Southwestern Michigan,” said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations, in the release. “It is well located close to highways 131 and M-89 and increases convenience and availability for our customers and insurance partners.”
He continues, “We are also proud to acquire this location which has served the Plainwell area for over 17 years. We look forward to becoming part of the community and providing the high-quality service we are known for at all our Gerber repair centers.”
The Boyd Group continues to look for new collision repair locations to add to its existing network in the U.S. and Canada, the article noted.
