MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. — Even though they’ve been open for 50 years, Backus Auto Detailing and Car Wash is still negatively impacted by something like the closure of a bridge, according to the Macomb Daily News.
“It’s already affecting us,” said Lou Backus, the co-owner of the detail shop with his wife Mary. “We’re simply not getting the traffic we had before the construction began,” he said in the article.
Mary Buckus said that the only way to get to the detail business is on Van Dyke.
