COCHRANE, ALBERTA, CANADA — The Car Wash Corral, which opened over 20 years ago, is still going strong and co-owners Shafique and Karim Javer, credit their customers for their success, the Cochrane Eagle reported.
The Dec. 19 story quoted Karim who said, “We appreciate people supporting us; we want them to know that.”
The brothers opened the carwash in 1993. It was originally a carwash/deli/gas station multiprofit center. In 2000, when it was time for an upgrade, they decided to tear down the original business and build anew.
Shafique said in the story that people may not realize the amount of maintenance involved in operating a large carwash. “There are a lot of moving parts and a fair amount of things can go wrong. The theory of mechanics learned from our father has certainly paid off. A lot of it is trial and error, so sometimes experts have to be called in," he said in the story.
