BETHESDA, Md. — The Car Care Council Women’s Board announced that Tammy (Chaffee) Tecklenburg is the recipient of the Auto Care Woman of the Year award, according to a press release.
Tecklenburg is the vice president of global sales and marketing operations for Spectrum Brands, stated the release.
She will be presented with the award during the annual Car Care Council Women’s Board reception at 4 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas, reported the release.
The Auto Care Woman of the Year award is given annually to “a remarkable individual in recognition of her significant leadership and contributions to the auto care community throughout her career,” continued the release.
The contributions may be business-related, cultural, educational, economic, political, social or related to any other areas impacting the lives of people in the car care industry and community, informed the release.
“Tammy truly embodies the spirit of the Woman of the Year award,” said Amy Mattinat, president of the Car Care Council Women’s Board, in the release. “Tammy pitched the idea of starting a mentor program and volunteered to take it on, over and above her professional responsibilities. Her committee and the executive board have supported her in creating a fabulous program, one that has quickly become one of the highly-valued benefits of being a Women’s Board associate. This award is truly a well-deserved tribute to her dedication to the Women’s Board and the advancement of women within the auto care industry.”
Active in the industry for 20 years, added the release, Tecklenburg has held several leadership positions with companies Prestone Products/Honeywell and Armored AutoGroup, recently acquired by Spectrum Brands Holdings, and has lead teams throughout finance, marketing and sales for the brands Prestone, Fram, Autolite, Bendix, Holt Lloyd, Armor All, STP, Tuff Stuff and A/C Pro.
She has also been involved with the Car Care Council’s Women’s Board for seven years, noted the release, and since 2014, Tecklenburg has sat on the executive board and is the committee chair for Career and Leadership Development.
