ALLEN, Texas — Earlier this winter season, TradeMark Car Wash delivered a check for $5,000 to help the Allen Community Outreach (ACO) provide gifts to more than 600 youths in Collin County, according to a press release.
Established in 1985, stated the release, the nonprofit organization is a “one-stop-shop” providing a system of human and social services.
TradeMark Car Wash, a full-serve carwash serving the area since 2004, has partnered with ACO for over 10 years, continued the release.
After receiving news of a continued need, Tom and Kim Miller, business owners, wanted to show their appreciation and support to ACO with a surprise donation the day before volunteers would purchase the gifts, reported the release.
“We were overwhelmed by TradeMark Car Wash’s generosity,” said Glenda May, executive director of ACO, in the release. “Their donation allowed us to reach more of the community and hopefully share some holiday cheer.”
As the area around Collin County continues to grow, noted the release, so does the need for social services and the necessary funds required to operate the nonprofit.
“The ACO does so much for our community,” said Kim Miller in the release. “It is truly our honor to partner with them in whatever way we can. This year, being able to hand deliver an over-sized check was a joy for us and an unforgettable experience.”
