WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA — A company here has proposed converting its touch-free carwash business into a Jiffy Lube location, masslife.com reported.
The Feb. 2 story stated that the planning board will hold a public hearing on the conversion when it meets later this week. A special permit and site plans must be approved by the board.
Engaging every customer
The F.L. Roberts Company wants to relocate a Jiffy Lube to their owned property because its lease on the current location expires next year. The carwash had previously been a Jiffy Lube about seven years ago.
Plans call for the business footprint to remain the same and for the vacuum stations to be removed. There would be three oil-change bays and one service bay, and more employee parking spaces would be added.
