CLINTONVILLE, OH — Plans for a carwash to go up here were nixed after Clintonville and University District residents complained about possible pollution, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
The Nov. 15 article states it was the carwash company, Goo-Goo Express, which decided to cancel the plans.
Attorney David Hodge, who represents Goo-Goo, said in the story that neighbors concerns, as well as a lack of support from the city for a zoning change, contributed to their change of plans.
Conservation groups, Friends of the Ravines and the Lower Olentangy Urban Arboretum, cheered over the canceled plans.
“It was simply the wrong lot for that business,” Mike McLaughlin, arboretum president, stated in the story.
