KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Better Wash and Dominic’s Italian Express in Gladstone is considered a “Northland favorite,” according to the blog, Chow Town, at kansascity.com.
A blogger for Chow Town writes in the post, “Imagine my surprise the other day when I’m driving on North Oak looking for a carwash, and I see a lighted sign flashing ‘CAR WASH.’ Perfect. As I turn in, all of a sudden the same flashing sign is now advertising ‘Italian Steak Sandwich,’ then ‘Fresh Home Made Lasagna,’ ‘Meatball Sandwich,’ ‘Chicken Spedini,’ and ‘Try Our Tiramisu Cannolis.’ [Wait.] What is going on here? Is this a joke?”
The carwash also features a restaurant with a drive-thru window, the blog reported.
The blog’s contributor continued that the food, whether dine-in or carry-out, was good, adding, “And maybe next time I’ll try the tiramisu cannolis, and get the car washed.”
According to its website, The Better Wash was voted the best carwash in Northland five years in a row and features a 200-foot tunnel and a professional detailing shop.
