CHEROKEE, Iowa — Cherokee residents and brothers, Mike and Kevin Halder, have purchased the former Lubeck Oil Company and carwash and plan to reopen it soon, according to the Chronicle Times.
They are currently restoring the wash, which will include two hand-wash bays, and a host of new upgrades.
Future plans include an automatic wash and a pet wash as an additional profit center.

"We look forward to being an active part of the Cherokee business community," said Mike Halder. "We remember how convenient and busy the carwash was when the Lubecks built one of the first in Cherokee. We're going to modernize it and bring back the memories and convenience at affordable prices," he said.
The brothers plan to further utilize the facility, and are in the process of planning additional components.
