The proposed development, noted the article, would include a full-service carwash, a seven-pump gas station, a c-store, a detailing shop and a community garden.

The concerns for the proposal range from those who believe it will destroy their balcony view, to a belief that it will hurt property value, and others who are upset it is “in the middle of a residential community,” said one resident.
Concerns over the business were expressed at a recent Northbrook Plan Commission meeting, the suburb outside of Chicago where the wash is planned for.
The proposal will be discussed by the commissioners again on July 1.
