YORK, Pa. — During the 2016 Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 7, Rutter’s Farm Stores and Sheetz Inc. both ran humorous regional ads, according to CSPnet.com.
The Super Bowl ad for Rutter’s aired during the third quarter of the game, stated the article, which promoted the c-store’s “amped up” line of signature foods.
“We have received strong local feedback from those that saw it,” said Derek Gaskins, chief customer officer for Rutter’s, in the article.
Rutter’s has 63 c-store locations throughout Pennsylvania, added the article.

“Created by nine-year agency of record Tattoo Projects, Charlotte, North Carolina,” Sheetz’s Super Bowl ad was filmed in Los Angeles by Gifted Youth, reported the article.
The witty ad played into “the consumers’ assumption that they can’t get great food at a gas station,” continued the article.
“Edgy advertising is part of Sheetz’s DNA, but we never sacrifice clarity of message,” stated Tammy Dunkley, manager of brand communications and advertising for Sheetz, in the article.
The c-store chain has more than 500 locations throughout Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, noted the article.
