NEWINGTON, Conn. — Wave Car Wash is supporting Connecticut Children’s Medical Center with a coupon book fundraiser, according to the Hartford Courant.
The carwash, which opened in November of 2014, gave the Newington Rotary Club 100 coupon books to sell, noted the article. Each book sells for $50 and contains five carwash coupons.
The goal of the fundraiser is to purchase webcams for 72 incubators in the medical centers neonatal intensive care units, stated the article. So far the Rotary has donated $10,000, enough to purchase four of the webcams.

“This is a perfect fit and the perfect time to enlist the help of Wave Car Wash to raise more funds for this important project,” said Ed Silverstein, Newington Rotary president, in the article. “You not only can keep your vehicle looking good, but you're doing good in a more important way as well.”
Wave Car Wash owner Ed Steremberg shared in the article, “I'm a firm believer in businesses helping their local service organizations who do so much for the community. Half the proceeds from the sale of these books will raise $2,500 to benefit the webcam project.”
