Detail shop to host fundraiser for police officer

MURFREESBORO, TN — The carwash, cookout and auction will benefit an officer recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

MURFREESBORO, TN — OD’s Carwash and Detail will host a fundraiser here for a Murfreesboro Police Officer and Army Reserve member who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, dnj.com reported.

The Sept. 12 story stated that the event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at OD’s, and the wash proceeds will benefit Frank Hernandez. Officer Hernandez has just been diagnosed, and the money will help the family pay their mounting medical bills.

The fundraiser will offer carwashes, a hot dog cookout and a silent auction featuring Tennessee Titans memorabilia, gift certificates and products from area businesses.

Angels for Protectors is sponsoring the event. The group helps Rutherford County law enforcement members that are in need.
