Detailer announces $1,000 service package

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The popularity of a $750 package led the owner to create a $1,000 service.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A detailing operation at a mall here thinks that high-end shoppers will gladly pay $1,000 for a wax and detail, lohud.com reported.

The Mar. 1 story stated that High Marques Auto Salon is located inside a mall’s parking lot. The owner, Stephen Field, said in the story that customers had previously selected his $750 package that includes all hand washing, a carpet shampoo, carnauba wax, engine cleaning and bug and tar removal.

The popularity of the $750 package led Field to put together the $1,000 package. It will include an application of Swissvax, a super-premium car wax that costs up to $263 for a small jar.

“If you’re going to go out and spend half a million dollars on a Ferrari, $750 is not a big deal,” Field said in the story. Even so, the service’s most popular packages range from $59 to $179.

Reaching new reclaim heights

There is a lot of variety in the carwash industry. Not only are there different types of washes, but the design, equipment, chemistry, staffing and service can greatly vary from one site to the next. However, there’s one non-negotiable constant in every wash: Water.

Since water — and lots of it — is so essential to this industry, it only makes sense to strive for ways to maximize every single drop. That’s where the reclaim process comes in. Collecting, rehabilitating and reusing as much water as possible is essential to protect the environment, the availability of resources and a carwash’s bottom line. That’s why industry leaders are currently driving innovation to find ways to reclaim even more water than ever.
