LOGAN, Ohio — Most people can’t wait until they retire, but Mike Stewart, owner of Performance Auto Detailing & Powerwash, already feels like he is retired because he loves his job, according to Logan Daily.
Stewart opened the detail shop in 1999, and enjoys interacting with customers, and cleaning their cars. He has no problem explaining to his loyal customers how they can clean their own interiors, but he said, “It’s just like mowing lawns. Nobody wants to do it anymore.”

Maintaining a car, Stewart said in the article, is like maintaining a house. The carpets and seats need to be shampooed, and the leather needs to be conditioned to prevent cracking.
Cars should be detailed at least four times a year, Stewart said, to increase resale value, and keep the car looking new. “The more often you maintain it, the easier it is to maintain.”
