DRB Systems announces new president and CEO

AKRON, Ohio — Current CEO William Morgenstern will retire, but remain an active board member.

AKRON, Ohio — DRB Systems, LLC has announced the appointment of Dan Pittman as president and CEO, effective August 1, according to a company press release.

According to the release, current CEO William Morgenstern, who has led DRB since 2015, plans to retire but remain an active member of the board of directors and a strategic advisor to the company.

“Dan is a passionate leader who brings a valuable combination of customer focus and operations and supply chain management to DRB, making him the perfect fit for this role. I am thrilled to welcome him as our next CEO,” said Morgenstern. “As I approach 60, I believe it’s time for me to take things down a notch and focus on my non-profit interests, personal life and health. However, I am excited to continue to work with Dan and the rest of the incredible leadership team at DRB in an advisory capacity.”

Pittman is an accomplished technology executive with decades of experience in supply chain, customer and service support and operations, noted the press release; he has served as DRB’s chief operations officer since 2015 and has been responsible for all the company’s operations and for driving continuous process improvement.

Prior to DRB, added the release, Pittman was a senior executive in Supply Chain, Service Support and Operations at Diebold.

“It is an honor to have been asked to serve as CEO and at such an exciting time for DRB,” said Pittman. “We have a phenomenal customer base, strong products and a talented organization rich in industry expertise. I am thrilled to lead DRB through its next phase of growth, and more importantly deliver on our commitment to enable our customers continued commercial and operational excellence.”
