TULSA, OK — A dust storm that started here last week had carwashes jammed with customers, KRMG reported.
The Oct. 19 story stated that Mr. Klean Car Wash in Tulsa was packed with customers from the time the doors opened last Friday. “I figured we’d be busy, but not from the time we opened, all day,” Mr. Klean Manager Katie Short said in the story.

The dust storm started in Oklahoma, and it moved across the United States during the day. Last Friday, it caused a brown haze that could be seen all the way through southwestern Virginia.
The Car Wash Clinic in Knoxville, TN ended up washing more than 275 vehicles that day due to the storm. One employee told WBIR that business probably increased 20 to 30 percent.

Managers noted that the dust cloud was the catalyst for this jump in business.
