GATES, NY — An early-morning fire broke out inside an auto detailing shop here located in a shopping plaza, the Messenger Post reported.
The June 13 story stated that the fire began last Wednesday before 8 a.m. at New Era Performance Parts. When firefighters arrived, they contained the flames and kept the fire from spreading to other businesses in the plaza.
Firefighters believe an electrical problem started the fire, and the business will likely be out of operation for an extended period of time. The detail business sustained significant damage along with two cars that were inside.
Witnesses of the fire worked to make sure everyone was out of the building. “My first question was is anybody in the unit, did anybody get hurt? They assured me that nobody got hurt and that it was contained,” Carol Hulsizer said in the story. “It doesn’t look like it [was] anything other than an electrical fire, which they told me was nobody’s fault just something that happened.”
