ALLENTOWN, Pa. — According to an article on lehighvalleylive.com, Steven Figueroa, an employee at All American Car Wash, reportedly admitted to burglarizing it because he was angry with his boss.
Surveillance caught Figueroa breaking into the carwash on the night of Jan. 25th and stealing over $200 from a cash draw, the article stated.
However, Figueroa was arrested only 25 minutes later when an officer pulled him over for riding with improper lighting on his motorbike, the article continued.
When police searched Figueroa’s bag, the article noted, they reported finding a blue jacket with white sleeves similar to that on the culprit caught on surveillance as well as several crumpled $1 bills and two banded packs of money with people’s names on them.
Figueroa told police that he worked at the carwash for tips and that the bundled bills were payments for other employees, the article stated.
Figueroa was arrested and admittedly confessed that he stole from the business “because he was upset with his boss,” according to the article.
Figueroa was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and violating light regulations; he was sent to Lehigh County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bail, the article concluded.
