Entrepreneur/ex-detailer appears on ‘Shark Tank’

LOWER MERION, PA — Aaron Krause is selling Scrub Daddy sponges in ShopRite stores and on a home shopping channel.

LOWER MERION, PA — Aaron Krause appeared on the ABC show “Shark Tank” last week to pitch his brand of sponges before the panel of entrepreneurs, Mainline Media News reported.

The Oct. 28 story stated that Krause has long had a mind for business. At 14 years old, he had his own detailing business cleaning cars in his neighborhood. In 1992, he opened his own shop, Dedication to Detail.

College detailer named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’

As a detailer, he created a buffing pad for cars, boats and planes. In the mid 1990s, he obtained a patent and started manufacturing the pads. The pads became popular, so Krause sold his detailing business so he could concentrate on marketing the pads.

Though 3M Co. purchased the rights to the buffing pad, Krause also created a sponge as well. Now he is selling Scrub Daddy sponges in ShopRite stores and on the QVC home shopping channel.

Entrepreneur breaks ground on $6.7 million wash

Acting as president and CEO of his own company, Krause hoped to gain a partnership with one of the celebrity entrepreneurs that appear on “Shark Tank.”
