MIAMI, Okla. — A Miami Main Street Car Wash customer experienced minimal damage to his truck after equipment fell onto his vehicle during a carwash, according to Miamiok.com.
Jamie Wieczorek and his wife were getting their truck cleaned after 10 p.m. when the automatic wash system collapsed, noted the article.
The carwash and been used heavily in recent days because of the salt- and brine-treated roads in response to winter weather, reported the article.
The fire department responded to the incident, stated the article. It used chains and a hydraulic ram to lift the equipment off the truck. The couple inside the truck was unharmed.

“It did fall, but it was minimal, minimal damage,” Wieczorek said in the article. “Kelly, my wife, was in the car and she was like, 'Well, what do we do now?' It was just funny. The fire department was there and they were able to lift it up quickly.”
According to Wieczorek in the article, the carwash has cooperated. The business believes the accident was caused by a mechanical problem. “The guy who owns the carwash has been awesome,” Wieczorek shared in the article. “They are taking care of it 100 percent. And that is by far the best carwash in town.”
