SARASOTA, FL — Johnny’s Car Wash and Detailing Center here has been sold after being family operated for over 55 years, the Herald-Tribune reported.
The Jan 8 story stated that Johnny’s will remain open and continue operating with the same staff. The sale closed on Dec. 31, 2012 for an undisclosed price.
Couple sells carwash after 25 years of business
The new co-owners are cousins. “We're not a multi-national company, just two cousins who got into the business 12 years ago,” Randy Nychyk said in the story. “We knew the original owners since we started out, so when they were interested in selling we were the first folks they called.”
The new owners operate two carwashes, and they said there are no immediate plans for further expansion. Johnny’s offers full-service carwashes, detailing, window tinting and paintless dent removal.
