ELGIN, IL ― Brian and Donna Harrington were long-time customers at their neighborhood carwash and when they found out it was for sale, they decided to buy it and keep all 18 employees as well, the Daily Herald reported.

The Dec. 18 story said the couple opened EZ Breezee Car Wash and Detail Center back in July and have since made over $60,000 in improvements.

"I really enjoyed getting my car full serviced all the time versus just going into a gas station car wash," Brian said in the story. "I decided to keep the 18 employees and expand the business and concentrate on detailing."

Detailer decides to open own business

The improvements made included remodeling the existing site, and they also conducted employee training. "My wife and I really enjoy stocking the store, listening to what people are looking for," Brian said in the story. "It's really nice to do a meet and greet and have a friendly environment for our customers."
