ST. LOUIS — The closing of Gas House Car Wash is a significant event for its customers and employees, according to station Fox 2.
“I’ve been coming here for over 15 years,” said Charles Conway, a longtime customer. “So yeah, “I’m quite sad to see this closing.”

The wash will be replaced with housing, and the area is going to have an Ikea built across the street next year.
Lead Cashier, Tunya Barnett-Finley said it’s hard on the customers seeing Gas Light close. “They love it,” she said. “They don’t want to see it close. They say we’re the best wash in St. Louis.”
The wash had its own unique charms, like an indoor oasis and a giant penguin. Gas House also had a popcorn machine, which has found a new home. “[It’s] cross the street at the firehouse,” said Barnett-Finley. “They couldn’t wait, they’ve been on it.”
