ATMORE, FL — A Florida man pled guilty to charges of murder, first degree robbery and breaking and entering in the slaying of a car detailer.
The plea, entered by Damien Jones, stems from his role in the murder of Kendrick Dortch. According to the plea Jones was not the triggerman, instead alleging then-16-year-old De’Anthony Dailey, shot Dortch when the two robbed Dortch’s detailing shop.
According to the NorthEscambia.com story, authorities say the robbery by Jones and Dailey was random and Dortch was not targeted.
